Scooter Races

It's amazing what a bunch of crazy college students will do in the dorm on a Wednesday night.  We broke out my generic Razor scooter, and raced against the clock to see who could reach the second study lounge the fastest.  Turned out that what we were doing was highly dangerous... the scooter itself was inherently dangerous being a "razor" style scooter, plus we were taking it up to fairly high speeds in a building.  Thankfully, though, we had no accidents, so the memory remains positive.  But kids, don't try this at home.

On your mark, get set...

GO!

After passing the study lounge (marked by the rounded glass wall), the rest of the hallway was for slowing down and stopping.

"How did I do?"

After this, Stephen went down the course, and soundly beat the standing record.

"Okay... now try beating that!"

On your mark, get set...

GO!

Did he beat the record?  We shall see...

Next, Becky tries her hand at the scooter, seeing if she can beat the record that Stephen ended up keeping...

Zoom...

No record, but still quite a ride!

Next, Dana takes the helm, seeing if she can beat the record...

And... go!

Still no record - Stephen really set a fast time!

Meanwhile, the crowd is supportive...

After everyone was finished racing, we just goofed around a little before heading back to our respective rooms.
